{"id":12,"date":"2013-03-23T13:18:49","date_gmt":"2013-03-23T17:18:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/wordpress-3.5.1\/wordpress\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2013-07-01T06:14:04","modified_gmt":"2013-07-01T10:14:04","slug":"leadership","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/veritay.com\/wordpress\/about\/leadership\/","title":{"rendered":"Leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jim Barnes<\/strong>, President\/CEO\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pub\/jim-barnes\/33\/842\/43a\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-769\" alt=\"LinkedIn_Logo30px\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.veritay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/LinkedIn_Logo30px.png\" width=\"20\" height=\"15\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jim has been with Veritay for more than 28 years, as an Engineer, Program Manager and as President since 2002. \u00a0Jim&#8217;s areas of expertise include interior ballistics, spanning analytical, experimental and computational simulation aspects, propelling charge development, ignition system design and development, barrel heating measurements and mitigation, and novel ammunition design and development. \u00a0Jim developed the ablative paste material which was essential to solving the severe barrel heating problem plaguing the M919 APFSDS round in the Army\u2019s 25mm Bushmaster Cannon.\u00a0 This paste was type-classified, incorporated into the M919 for the first decade of its production, and subsequently used to address barrel heating problems in a number of other rounds of ammunition.\u00a0Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Todd J.
