Jim has been with Veritay for more than 28 years, as an Engineer, Program Manager and as President since 2002.  Jim’s areas of expertise include interior ballistics, spanning analytical, experimental and computational simulation aspects, propelling charge development, ignition system design and development, barrel heating measurements and mitigation, and novel ammunition design and development.  Jim developed the ablative paste material which was essential to solving the severe barrel heating problem plaguing the M919 APFSDS round in the Army’s 25mm Bushmaster Cannon.  This paste was type-classified, incorporated into the M919 for the first decade of its production, and subsequently used to address barrel heating problems in a number of other rounds of ammunition. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.


Todd J. Cloutier, Vice-President, Senior Research Engineer LinkedIn_Logo30px

Todd has been with Veritay for more than 18 years.  Todd’s experience includes ammunition design, ballistic computer simulations, and experimental test and evaluation.  He is currently leading Veritay’s technical activities in the area of small caliber weapon and ammunition development, medium caliber recoil mitigation and large caliber Navy munitions.  Todd holds a Master of Science degree from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
